Add An Image came about because we thought there must be another way to share the images and sites we've all found on our travels around the internet. We thought that dynamically created picture links that that users can add themselves takes personalised web browsing down a totally new evenue.

Because we don't hold any images on our site (we only hold the URL) it's meant that everyone can add a link to their favorite sites and pictures without the overhead of holding all those pictures. The service can be used by anyone who may have pictures on their single page site and want them to reach a larger audience to large organisations that want advertise their business via this new visual medium. One of the added benefits of the Add An Image model is that images appear in the desired category as decided by the user - the 25 most recent image/picture links are dynamically displayed on the home page which is a great oportunity for webmasters to increase the visibility of their sites.

Currently only a little validation is done on the URL entered so it's important that any duff entries are reported to us so they can be removed. The site is protected against duplicated picture links but there is still the possibility of abuse so hopefully the community that use the service will help police it.

You can add as many picture/image links as you like but please make sure they are both different from each other and suitable for the category in which you're placing them. Any repetitive picture/image links will be removed and any not deemed suitable for their category will be moved to a more suitable one.

Add An Image is a free and open service we reserve the right to remove or move any image links as we see fit. If the service gets abused then we will tighten up the validation and may implement additions via a registration process.

We've made adding an image link to the site as simple as possible for entering one image at a time so that it's as difficult as possible for an automated script to add an link. This makes our content accurate and fair - although it would be possible to fill the entire front page with images from one site their dominance would be short lived as it's not too long before someone has entered another picture link. This makes AddAnImage.com a fair place to advertise! From multi-nationals to your personal homepage everyone has to enter their link the same way. The difference between our site and the myriad of pixel sites out there is that our homepage is constantly changing - but if someone wants to drill-down into specific categories (similar to using a search engine) they can get filtered information specifically on what they're looking for.
